Jill Galt has been singing and performing professionally
for over 30 years and continues to perform and record
as well as provide expert vocal coaching
to dedicated vocal students.

and Classical to Pop, Jazz, Country and Rock.
She offers students the opportunity to learn:

Ms. Galt accompanies her students on piano during her coaching sessions. Her non-classical approach emphasis is on intonation (singing in tune). Jill believes that whatever style you choose to sing or whatever the natural characteristics of your voice, the most important
aspect of good singing is the
ability to sing in tune.
Breathing techniques are studied during sessions and students can expect to see great results in a short time simply by learning
how to breathe correctly.
Ms. Galt is available for consultation and preparation for
recording projects and auditions.
Jill's studio is centrally located in Victoria, BC.
Lessons may be given in her studio or in
your home providing you have a well tuned piano
or electronic keyboard.

Jill began her career singing, dancing and playing music at the early age of four.
Her father was a music teacher and her mother was an avid dance
enthusiast so Jill had no shortage of support during her youth as she
eagerly studied singing, dance and music.
At seventeen Jill joined a 27 piece show band out of Calgary, Canada called
Stratus Faction. Jill toured with the band performing in showrooms,
clubs and hotels from Toronto to Las Vegas.
Two years later Jill returned to school to earn a
Batchelor of Arts from University of Victoria
but her true love was always in performance.
Jill set out on her the road again performing her own Cabaret
and appearing in musicals and musical reviews.
When she wasn't traveling she was busy
in the studio recording jingles and background vocals for albums.
In the mid 1980's Jill began singing on board the ships of
Princess Cruise Line. Her time at sea alternated with touring on
the road where she performed with singing
partner Gail Penny in the Ladybird Duo.
In 1992 Jill moved to Hong Kong where she spent a year
singing at the Five Star Island Shangri La Hotel on Hong Kong
Island and recording Radio and Television jingles in various studios there.
During this time she recorded a CD entitled "Memories", her third CD recording.
She then returned to the sea and joined Seabourn Cruise Line
performing her cabaret from Australia to Russia and from South America to China.
Jill became Cruise Director on board Seabourn ships in 1996 and continued to
perform as well as manage the Entertainment Department on board.
In 2001 she moved to Miami, Florida to become Entertainment Manager for
Cunard Cruise Lines. Here she was responsible for hiring the
entertainment and cruise staff for the fleet of luxury cruise ships including the world
famous Queen Elizabeth II
Jill later moved to Key West, Florida and then to North East Pennsylvania
where she performed and taught vocal lessons until returning
to her home in Victoria, Canada in 2008.
Jill is currently performing in the Victoria, B.C. area with an
